Dance and Drama ages 4-7
This class combines the benefits of both Dance and Drama to give your child a foundation in rhythm, movement, storytelling, exploring emotions, and characterisation - all while fostering creativity and building confidence and teamwork skills. This class aims to give our tamariki a positive introduction to Dance and Drama to instill a lifelong love of the Performing Arts.

Drama & Acting ages 8-14
Through fun and engaging activities and exercises, students will develop their creativity, empathy, confidence and teamwork skills. Each lesson focuses on one or two Learning Points to help students develop their stagecraft. Students learn about characterisation through exercises in physicality, facial expressions, voicework, costuming and props. Students are introduced to improvisation, where they develop their ability to create characters, tell stories and become adaptable and resilient performers. The PPAM syllabus has a strong focus on practical performance skills including giving students the skills to overcome nerves and stagefright; how to unpack and tackle a script; practice safe voicework; and learn about the ins and outs of being in the theatre. Whether your child is interested in pursuing a career in acting, auditioning for their school production or would simply like to be able to move through the world as a confident, effective communicator, the Drama & Acting class will be tailored to suit your child’s individual interests and needs. PPAM Drama & Acting classes are non-competitive so all activities are inclusive, allowing students to learn at their own pace in a fun, safe and supportive environment.

Fun Dance Class Ages 8-14
PPAM dance classes help young people embrace their bodies and learn how to move with confidence, coordination and creativity. A range of dance styles and music are covered in this class, so there is something for everyone! The music is always age appropriate, positive and uplifting. Through fun and engaging activities and exercises, students will work towards learning a dance throughout the term, choreographed to suit their specific ability level and interests. Students also have the opportunity to develop their own creativity by creating their own pieces of choreography. They are taught how to dance safely to look after their bodies. PPAM classes are non-competitive, meaning your child will be nurtured in a safe learning environment where they can learn to dance at their own pace.

Glee Club Ages 8-14

Our Glee Club is a relaxed, safe and nurturing environment where tamariki who love to sing can meet like minded friends and build their confidence. In Glee Club we; learn how to warm up and sing safely; put simple dance moves to songs; and learn how to combat the nerves and performance anxiety singing in front of an audience can cause. Students will never be asked to sing solo unless they volunteer to. No singing ability or experience required!

Fun Dance Class for Adults
No dance ability or experience required! These classes are all about having a boogie and a laugh with other like-minded people. Suitable for young and old. There’s no need to memorise dance moves so you can dance at your own pace. This class explores a wide range of dance styles and music - everything from dance trends of the 1920s to the 2020s! We take requests too, so if there’s a dance style you want to try, let your teacher know! No partner required as all dances are solo. These classes usually begin with a warm up where we learn how to dance safely to look after our bodies. We focus on a set number of dances throughout the term, adding on dance moves each lesson. Dancers will benefit from regular attendance, but casual attendees are also welcome.
